Set in leafy Regent’s Park amid iconic architecture and beautiful gardens, ZSL London Zoo is a wildlife haven in the heart of the city. With more than 800 different animal species, incredible new exhibits and heritage-listed building almost as famous as their inhabitants, a visit to ZSL London Zoo is a great day out in the capital.

Visitors can see animals in a different light at Rainforest Life, where monkeys crawl on branches overhead and anteaters meander across their path, enter the African forest and be amazed at the troop of Western lowland gorillas at Gorilla Kingdom or hit the beach at England’s largest penguin pool; Penguin Beach. A must see is brand new flagship exhibit. Tiger Territory where visitors are immersed in an unforgettable sensory experience as you go deep into the tiger’s Indonesian-inspired territory for a close-up encounter with the magnificent big cats.

ZSL London Zoo is run by the Zoological Society of London, an international charity dedicated to saving animals and their habitats around the world, sales of our tickets provide crucial funding to continue our worldwide conservation projects.

Facilities:
ZSL London Zoo seeks to provide equal opportunity for all to enjoy the animal exhibits and visitor facilities. There are six disabled parking bays near the Zoo entrance. Five are in the small car park opposite the entrance and one bay is immediately in front of the entrance. Otherwise there is pay and display parking on the Outer Circle and in the Zoo car park – about 500 yards along the same road. There are wheelchairs and mobility scooters available for loan, and disabled toilets around the Zoo.

The Zoo is more than 170 years old and contains many old buildings, 12 of which are listed. However, most of the Zoo is accessible for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties including Tiger Territory, which is wheelchair friendly and has a lift available for visitors to access the higher viewing platform and the Aquarium has disabled access via an entrance to the left of the main doorway.

Opening Times:
The zoo opens at 10:00am all year round but closing times vary throughout the year, refer to http://www.zsl.org for specific times and dates. ZSL London Zoo is open every day of the year except for Christmas Day.

Costs: ZSL London Zoo ticket prices can be found online at http://www.zsl.org – these do vary slightly throughout the year, but entry for under threes is always free.
