The Stump - St Botoloph's Church
Visit the magnificent St Botoloph’s Church, otherwise known as ‘The Stump’ or ‘The Boston Stump’. It is one of the largest parish churches in England and has an extraordinarily tall tower, 272 feet high tall, which can be seen for miles. On a clear day it can be seen from East Anglia on the other side of the Wash.
This 14th century church is one of England’s most enduring and imposing landmarks. Climb up the tower and see the spectacular views out to the Wash in the south, the Lincolnshire Wolds to the north and Lincoln Cathedral to the west. Seeing the panoramic views will certainly be a great reward after a trek to the top.
