The Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway
Take an exciting journey ‘up’ or ‘down’ a steep slope on a water-powered cliff railway and enjoy the spectacular views of the rugged coast of North Devon.
The railway joins the town of Lynton and Lynmouth and is situated in the Exmoor National Park. It was opened on Easter Monday in 1890 and has been running ever since.
It is great fun and you will get to experience a fine example of Victorian engineering and ingenuity.
Cafés are at the top and the bottom of the railway.
