Visit this quirky Teapot Island situated alongside the river Medway and see a three-metre-tall Wishing Well teapot and cup that hold two Guinness World Record certificates. Learn how Teapot Island started as a family run business in a tin shack serving tea and selling bait to fisherman, and how things have changed since then.
You will see over 6,700 teapots of all shapes, sizes and colours on display and you may even get the chance to see the ‘teacup’ potter working outside his workshop on sunny days. You can also buy your own ‘paint your own’ pottery which ranges from teddies to teapots so children can create a masterpiece for themselves. There is also a gift shop and café on site.
After your visit here, take a gently stroll along the river bank or just sit in the tranquil gardens and watch the world go by.
Opening Times: 10am – 4pm, Monday to Friday from April to the end of October, and Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 9am to 5pm.
