Secret Gardens Festival
For the past three decades Bradford on Avon has unveiled some of its beautiful private gardens every year. The Tourist Information Centre organises the Festival in order to generate more awareness and bring more visitors to town. Bradford’s local gardeners give visitors the opportunity to discover some of the secrets of their historic town by opening their gardens for this particular time only. Approximately ten gardens participate each month during the festival and are waiting to be discovered again this year.
Visitors can wander around the gardens, all of different sizes, shapes and beauty – from manicured gardens in country houses to quirky patio gardens with stunning pots and borders. Over the years visitors have been able to enjoy tea, home-made cakes and craft stalls as they tour the gardens.
Many gardens raise money for their favourite charities as well as many local and national causes.
A wonderful opportunity for people to join together and exchange their knowledge and share the same interests. The Secret Gardens festival is set to run on the last Sunday’s of April, May, June and July each year. Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre and usually on sale from the end of March.
Opening Times: Last Sunday’s of April, May, June & July from 2.00-6.00pm
