National Museum Cardiff
In the archaeology gallery you will discover secrets of the Neanderthals, the earliest humans from over two thousand years ago, and learn who our ancestors were, how different they were from us and what has changed and what caused these changes. You could also watch a fascinating film that shows the beginning of time with the ‘Bing Bang’ and the formation of earth 3.5 billion years ago. You’ll also come face to face with huge dinosaurs and woolly mammoths.
Afterwards you could go to the Discovery Centre and do some hands-on activities and learn all about insects, fossils and weapons from the Bronze Age. You can even bring your own objects into the museum and ask the well-informed staff there if they can identify them for you. And if you are interested in art, why not take a stroll through the art gallery and see a fantastic collection of magnificent paintings and sculptures.
There is definitely something to do for the whole family here and you won’t be bored that’s for sure.
