Discover Hull’s maritime heritage and visit this fabulous museum, housed in Victorian dock offices. See a full-sized whale skeleton and a whole range of harpoons and tools from the whale industry. You will also see fantastic models of ships with sails, trawlers and stunning artefacts from the whaling, fishing and merchant trade in Hull.

Witness journals, logbooks and paintings of ships and see a large collection of scrimshaw; carved and coloured decorated pieces of whaleborn, walrus tusks and whale teeth, which whalers produced in their spare time.

Children can enjoy lots of hands-on activities and all the family can watch an enjoyable film showing men working in the docks loading and unloading cargo. It is a very entertaining and interesting film.
