Heage Windmill is the only working stone-towered, multi-sailed windmill in England. It was built in 1797 and restored to working order in 2002.
This unique Grade II* listed building is set in the Derbyshire countryside and offers spectacular views towards the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
Guides in period costumes offer interesting and informative tours. You can also visit an Interpretation Centre and a shop that sells Heage Windmill flour and souvenirs.
The windmill will be ‘put to bed’ at the end of October for the winter.
Facilities: Disabled access to interpretation centre only. Free parking.
Opening Times: The mill opens on weekends and Bank Holidays from April until the end of October.
Opening times are 11am to 4pm, with the last tour starting at 3:30pm.
