This eye-catching 35 feet tall clock tower is a well-known landmark in the city and makes a perfect meeting point. It was built by the local architect Joseph Goddard in 1868 and it commemorates four benefactors of Leicester: Simon de Montfort who was Earl of Leicester, William Wyggleston, Sir Thomas White and Gabriel Newton. All of these men founded schools and charitable institutions and figures of them can be seen on each corner of the tower.

Costs: Free.
