Freightliners City Farm
Come and enjoy a taste of country life in the city. The Farm is a small green space in the heart of the London Borough of Islington, bringing a little bit of the countryside into the city with rare and traditional breeds of farm animals, native hedgerows and wild spaces, as well as food growing and production. They enable London people who would otherwise not have such opportunities to find out about farming and food, interact with domestic animals and wildlife and participate in rural crafts and activities.
You can take a stroll around the gardens, meet the animals and purchase seasonal produce to enjoy at home and afterwards enjoy a range of home-cooked vegetarian meals and cakes, often using produce grown on the farm, in the Garden Café.
Facilities: There is disabled access to the majority of the farm, including the toilets and the café.
Opening Times: The Farm is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday.
10am to 4.45pm in the spring and summer
10am to 4pm in autumn and winter. On Monday, the farm is closed except on Bank Holidays. During the Christmas period, the farm is closed for the week.
Costs: Entrance to the farm is free although visitors are encouraged to leave donations. They are a registered charity and rely on grants and donations to open their doors.
