Filey Bird Garden & Animal Park
Feed friendly giant rabbits, miniature Shetland ponies, greedy goats and meet Jake and Zac, two very inquisitive donkeys. Learn about the smallest breed of sheep in the world, talk to spotty Kune Kune pigs and see lots of cute guinea pigs.
When you enter the park, listen out for the greeting sounds of geese, chickens and ducks. You will also get the chance to see exotic birds such as owls, pheasants and talkative parrots. Don’t forget to speak to the parrots as they often respond by whistling, dancing and even mimicking words.
Visit the sensory garden where you can touch and smell plants and flowers in the flowerbeds. Afterwards, try and find a wooden door that leads to a secret garden where you can let your imagination run wild, or head to the formal garden with a fish pond and seating areas. It is an ideal place to relax and take in the atmosphere.
There is a gift shop on site and a cosy café which serves light refreshments. This park makes a great day out for the whole of the family.
